New GR model, together with flagship APS-C DSLR offering that succeeds the Pentax K3-II, are both in the pipeline.
Ricoh Imaging has confirmed that a third-generation digital GR model is on the way.
In an interview with DPReview, an executive at the company stated that the company could not confirm the camera's name or expected date of arrival, only that it was in the company's plans:
"Although we don’t know whether it will be called ‘GR III’ or not, the study for the development of the next GR is already ongoing. We cannot say when, and how exactly it will be, but the next GR will come someday."

우리가 GR III라고 부를지 아닐지 여부는 알 수 없지만 다음 GR 개발을위한 연구는 이미 진행 중입니다. 우리는 언제 그리고 얼마나 정확하게 될지 말할 수 없지만, 다음 GR은 언젠가 올 것입니다.
