캐논 EOS RP - DPReview 디피리뷰 핸즈온 리뷰 (전문번역)

디피리뷰에 핸즈온 리뷰가 좀전에 올라왔네요
걍 한번 읽어봤는데 궁금하신 분도 있으실거 같아서 빨리 올리느라 일단 발번역입니다 ㅎㅎㅎㅎ

1. Introduction (도입)
The Canon EOS RP is the entry-level body in Canon's full frame range of mirrorless cameras. Its launch price of $1299 is the lowest of any digital full frame camera, a whole $400 below the initial cost of the first Sony a7.
It's overtly aimed at upgraders from smaller-sensor cameras and first-time buyers of ILCs. To this end, the camera has the approachable user interface from Canon's recent Rebel and EOS M models, but also offers two well-placed control dials for quick operation as you grow into the camera.
캐논 EOS RP는 캐논의 풀프레임 미러리스 엔트리 레벨 바디이다. 발매가격은 1,299달러이며 소니의 A7 출시가격보다 400달러 더 싸게 나옴으로싸 풀프레임 카메라 출시가 중에서 가장 저렴한 것이다.
EOS RP는 명백히 렌즈교환 카메라를 처음 사려는 초보자, 혹은 APS-C나 마이크로 포서즈 센서 등과 같은 작은 센서 카메라를 쓰던 사람들의 업그레이드용으로 나온 것이다. 이로 인해 EOS RP는 최근 EOS M 시리즈나 엔트리급 DSLR바디에서 선보인 쉬운 조작계를 가지고 있으나, 풀프레임 카메라답게 쓸만하게 신속한 조작을 위해 배치된 두개의 다이얼이 있음으로써 카메라를 보다 본격적으로 쓸 수 있게 되었다.

2. Body (바디)
The EOS RP is essentially a smaller, more conventional-looking variant of the EOS R. It has a polycarbonate shell on a magnesium alloy chassis, rather than the more durable-feeling magnesium alloy outer body of its bigger brother. It still fits well in the hand but there's an optional add-on riser that bolts onto the base of the camera if you find your little finger extending beyond the bottom of the grip. This riser also helps the camera sit more stably on flat surfaces if you've got one of the system's larger lenses mounted.
The two dials are well positioned if you h에이브이e your hand in the shooting position, with the rear dial sitting under the top of your thumb and the front dial placed just above and behind the shutter button. The rear shoulder dial might be unfamiliar for anyone coming from high-end Canons but it'll be familiar to anyone arriving from other systems, and will be a welcome addition for most Rebel users, who're used to a single dial.
In addition, all of Canon's RF lenses h에이브이e a customizable control dial around them, meaning you can easily access up to three exposure parameters, if you wish.
EOS RP는 딱 필요한 기능이 들어가게끔 최소화 되었으며, EOS R보다 더 전통적인 모습이 되었다. EOS RP는 폴리카보네이트 소재의 바디를 채택했으며 내부의 뼈대는 마그네슘 합금이다. 형뻘인 EOS R은 외부도 마그네슘 합금이라서 EOS RP보다 더 튼튼한 점이 다르다. EOS R처럼 그립감 자체는 유사하지만, EOS R과 달리 바디의 바닥에 추가로 볼트로 고정하는 옵션 연장그립이 있어서 새끼손가락이 남아도는 허전함을 상쇄할 수 있다는 점이 다르다. 이 연장 그립은 바디보다 두께가 큰 렌즈를 마운트했을 때, 평평한 바닥에 불안정하게 놓아지는 것을 막을 수 있다는 장점도 있다.
두개의 조작 다이얼은 촬영시 편하도록 잘 배치되었는데, 후면 다이얼은 오른손 엄지손가락의 위치에 딱 맞게 배치가 되었고, 전면 다이얼은 셔터버튼 바로 뒤에 배치하였다. 후면의 다이얼은 캐논 고급기종을 쓰던 사람들에게는 조금 어색할 수도 있으나 타회사 제품을 쓰던 사람들에게는 매우 익숙한 위치이다. 그리고 캐논 보급 DSLR을 쓰던 사람들은 손에 익숙할 수 있을 것이다.
여기에 더해, 모든 캐논 RF 렌즈들은 커스텀 컨트롤 다이얼이 있으며, 이를 통해 총 세가지의 다이얼 보정을 조작할 수 있다.

3. Ports/Battery (포트 및 배터리)
The EOS RP has both headphone and mic sockets, along with a mini HDMI connector. It also has a USB-C socket which can be used for both data transfer and charging. Disappointingly, it's only a USB type 2.0 interface, so don't expect blazing data transfer rates.
The battery is the same LP-E17 unit used on Canon's smaller mirrorless and Rebel models. It holds a relatively modest 6.3Wh of energy which yields a similarly modest 250 shots per charge (210 through the viewfinder). This isn't good, but also isn't quite as bad as it might sound: most users are likely to get more shots than this and maybe even a multiple of this number, depending on how they use the camera.
For a camera aimed primarily at casual shooters, it should last a decent amount of time, but if they do find themselves getting more into photography and shooting more intensively or use the Wi-Fi a lot, it'll definitely be worth h에이브이ing a USB lead or spare battery to-hand lest it becomes frustrating.
EOS RP는 헤드폰 및 마이크로폰 단자를 가지고 있으며 미니 HDMI 커넥터도 있다. 또한 USB-C 소켓도 있는데 이를 통해 데이터 전송 및 충전도 가능하다. 그러나 실망스럽게도, 단자 모양은 USB-C 형식이지만, 전송속도는 USB 2.0이라서 꽤나 느릿 느릿한 데이터 전송을 보여준다.
배터리는 LP-E17로써 최근 캐논 보급형 DSLR과 EOS M에 채택된 바로 그것이다. 6.3Wh 전력양을 가지고 있으며 약 250장을 촬영할 수 있다 (뷰파인더 사용시 210장). 이건 별로 좋지 않은 성능이다. 대부분의 사용자들의 경우 어떻게 쓰는지에 따라 달렸지만 이거보다는 최소 몇배 이상은 많이 찍는다.
EOS RP는 보다 캐주얼한 촬영을 위해 만들어진 것이므로, 250장이 아니라 그거보다는 더 많이 찍을 수 있는 배터리를 채택했어야 했다. 또한 Wi-Fi 연결이라던가 보다 더 적극적인 사진촬영에 임한다면 USB를 통하거나 보조 배터리를 통해 보충하는 상황에 대해 실망할지도 모른다.

4. Sensor (센서)
The EOS RP is based around a 26MP full frame sensor that uses Canon's Dual Pixel design. This uses split pixels to give the camera's focusing system an understanding of depth. We'll discuss the autofocus performance later, but it helps ensure the RP can focus well with both its own, native lenses and adapted EF lenses.
We're told the chip in the EOS RP is similar to the one in the EOS 6D II, which means it's performance is likely to be a little off the pace. We'd expect it to be excellent at high ISOs but to h에이브이e comparatively limited dynamic range at low ISO settings, so don't expect to be able to shoot wide dynamic range scenes where you'd need to pull shadow information into the image: the tones not already included in the JPEG images will be noisier and less usable than contemporary rivals.
That said, this camera seems primarily targeted at users who'll be mainly shooting JPEGs or those not trying to squeeze every last drop out of their Raws.
EOS RP는 약 2,600만 화소의 풀프레임 센서를 채택하고 있으며 캐논의 두얼 픽셀 설계가 적용되었다. 두얼 픽셀 방식은 두개로 나누어진 픽셀을 이용하여 카메라가 초점을 맞출 때 거리를 인식하는 원리이다. 우리는 EOS RP의 초점 능력에 대해 나중에 본 리뷰를 통해 밝힐 것이지만, 두얼 픽셀 방식은 기존의 EF 렌즈군 및 신형 RF 렌즈 모두에게 잘 적용되어 보인다.
우리가 볼 때 EOS RP의 센서는 EOS 6D Mark II와 유사하며, 이는 센서성능이 사실상 대동소이하다는 예측을 하게 만든다. 우리는 이 센서가 고 ISO에서 뛰어난 성능을 보여줄 것으로 보이지만, 낮은 ISO에서 비교적 제한적인 다이내믹 레인지를 가지고 있을 것이라고 예상한다. 그러므로 만약 여러분이 이 센서에 암부를 끌어올려 폭넓은 다이내믹 레인지를 표현하는 사진을 기대하고 있다면 그건 오산이라고 믿는다. 이미 우리는 EOS RP의 센서가 타사 경쟁제품에 비해 JPEG 품질에 있어서 더 많은 노이즈를 가지고 있으며 건질 사진이 더 없을 것이라는 것을 예상하고 있다.

5. Viewfinder/screen
The EOS RP has a 2.36M dot OLED viewfinder. As you'd expect, this isn't as detailed as the 3.69M dot finders used in the EOS R and more expensive models but it's very useable. So don't expect a near-optical-viewfinder experience, but it's detailed and fast enough to refresh that it's more than good enough for framing and assessing exposure (which an optical finder won't help you with).
The rear monitor is a fully-articulated touchscreen. This lets you pull the screen all the way out alongside the camera, which can be a nice for shooting on a tripod, for waist-level shooting or for video capture. It also has the convenience that you can flip and fold the screen to face inwards, to protect it if you're slinging it in a bag or glove-compartment.
The touchscreen operates as a touchpad for positioning the AF point, which is by far the most convenient way of doing so on the RP. You can choose whether the response is relative (so a left-swipe moves the point left from its current position) or absolute (swiping to the mid-point of the screen places the AF point at the middle of the image). If you find your nose risks touching the screen or blocking your access to the screen, you can limit the active area to a half or quadrant of the panel. The four-way controller can also be set to move the AF area – it's slow, but a good way to do so with precision.
EOS RP는 236만 화소의 OLED 뷰파인더를 채택하였다. 이는 EOS R에 채택된 더 비싼 369만 화소의 뷰파인더보다 해상도는 떨어지지만 여전히 쓸만하다. 그러나 아시다시피 OVF에 근접한 화질은 기대해서는 안된다. 그럼에도 불구하고 236만 화소는 상당히 디테일하며 리프레쉬도 빨라서 오히려 구도를 잡고 노출을 확인하는데 있어서는 OVF보다 나을 수도 있다.
후면 디스플레이는 가동식 터치스크린이다. 스크린을 잡아 당겨서 카메라 옆으로 돌려서 찍을 수 있기에 삼각대에 놓고 동영상을 촬영하거나 허리 높이로 낮춰서 동영상을 찍을때 좋다. 180도로 돌려서 전면을 향할 수 있으므로 셀피 촬영에도 편하며, 완전히 뒤집어 돌려서 수납도 되기 때문에 가방이나 자동차 글로브박스에 넣어도 스크린이 긁힐 염려가 없다.
터치스크린은 마치 터치패드를 조작하듯 AF 포인트을 바꿀 수 있다. 상대적 터치 및 절대적 터치 방식으로 선택해서 조작할 수 있다. (EOS M50 등에서 채택한 스크린 내 AF 포인트 및 터치 범위 선택). 뷰파인더를 보면서 코가 스크린에 닿아서 엄한 조작이 되는걸 방지하기 위해 터치스크린의 작동 범위를 절반 혹은 1/4로 줄일 수 있다. 4방향 조이스틱으로 AF 포인트를 움직일 수 있으나....느리다. 그러나 정확한 AF 포지션을 지정하는데에는 좋다.

6. User Interface
The EOS RP includes the 'Feature Assist' mode from Canon's recent Rebel DSLRs and EOS M mirrorless cameras. This guides the user in changing the camera settings in order to achieve shallower/deeper depth-of-field or how to freeze/blur motion but does so in a way that encourages the use of the same controls that you would in 'regular' mode.
We were really impressed with this mode on Canon's entry-level models because it provides an easier way of working but also a stepping stone to learning how to operate individual camera parameters if you wish to. All of the normal Canon menus and options are still present, so you don't get the sense of the camera being dumbed-down for more experienced users.
The RP gains a comparable interface for results-orientated processing of its Raw files, if you decide you want to warm or cool the image, relative to the way the JPEG first came out, or if you want to convert to black and white, for instance. Again, the more technically-inclined users can still access all the underlying settings (for batch-processing multiple images, if they want).
EOS RP는 피쳐 어시스트를 지원하는데, 이는 최근 캐논의 보급형 DSLR이나 EOS M 미러리스 등에 이미 도입된 기능이다. 이는 사용자로 하여금 카메라 세팅을 얕은/깊은 심도 조절시 쉽게 만들어주거나, 피사체의 움직임을 흐리게 (폭포수 촬영 등) 혹은 또렷하게 (운동경기) 만들기 쉽게 해주는 것이다. 일반 모드에서 이를 하려면 일일히 세팅을 조작해야 하지만 피쳐 어시스트 모드에서는 비교적 쉽게 세팅할 수 있다.
우리가 진짜 보급기에 채택된 이 모드를 좋게 보는 이유는, 초보자로 하여금 더 나은 사진을 쉽게 찍게 해줄 뿐만 아니라, 실제 화면으로 각각의 세팅이 변화되는 모습을 보여줌으로써 기본적인 카메라 파라메터 조작이 이미지에 어떤 영향을 주는지 가르쳐 주기도 하기 때문이다. 피쳐 어시스트만 있는 것이 아니라 캐논의 기본적인 메뉴와 옵션들이 없어진게 아니라 그대로 존재한다. 따라서 숙련된 유저가 EOS RP를 쓴다고 해서, 그저 똑딱이처럼 찍는 느낌은 들지 않을 것이다.
EOS RP는 RAW 파일의 결과중심 출력 프로세싱을 위한 적절한 인터페이스를 가지고 있다. 만약 유저가 JPEG 출력물과 유사한 따뜻하거나 차가운 색감이나 흑백사진 같은 결과를 원한다면, 숙련된 유저라면 보다 디테일한 설정을 해줌으로써 RAW파일의 결과물을 변화시킬 수 있을 것이다. (일괄변환도 가능)

7. Connectivity
As you'd expect, the EOS RP features Bluetooth-mediated Wi-Fi, meaning that it will near-instantly recognize a smartphone that's been Bluetooth paired and fire-up a Wi-Fi connection between them when you hit a button in Canon's 'Camera Connect' app (on Android, at least - iOS can be awkward about such things).
The Wi-Fi connection itself takes a little longer but the app does a good job of showing you that it's making the connection, rather than just le에이브이ing you wondering whether anything's happening.
It's pretty clear that Canon expects RP users to be sharing a lot of their images, either on social media or over email, so the ability to send the camera's attractive JPEGs straight to a phone is important.
There will also be an iOS version of Canon's Digital Photo Professional Raw-processing software 에이브이ailable for the latest iPads. This is designed specifically to convert and adjust the CR3 files produced by recent Canon models.
이미 여러분들도 예상했을법하지만, EOS RP는 블루투스를 이용한 Wi-Fi 기능을 채택하고 있으며, 캐논의 '카메라 커넥트' 앱을 통해 (안드로이드는 잘 되나 iOS는 다소 깝깝하다) 블루투스로 스마트폰과 연결한 후 Wi-Fi 통신을 통해 데이터를 전송한다.
Wi-Fi 연결은 시간이 좀 오래 걸리는데 앱 자체는 연결과정을 잘 보여준다. 최소한 뭐가 발생하거나 변화가 있는 것을 알 수는 있으니 말이다.
캐논은 아마도 EOS RP의 주 사용자들이 사진을 스마트폰을 통해 많이 공유할 것이라고 예상한 듯 하다. 스마트폰에 전송한 후 각종 소셜 미디어나 이메일로 보내서 공유하는게 중요하다고 생각하는 유저가 많기에, EOS RP의 뛰어난 JPEG 사진을 곧바로 스마트폰에 전송하는 이 기능은 매우 중요하다고 본 것 같다.
최신형 IPAD 유저를 위해 IOS 버전의 캐논 이미지 변환 프로그램인 DPP RAW 소프트웨어가 선보일 것이다. 이 프로그램을 통해 CR3 규격의 최신 캐논 RAW파일들을 JPEG로 바꿀 수 있을 것이다.

8. Autofocus
For the most part, the EOS RP's autofocus is a match for that of the EOS R, which is to say that it's pretty quick, especially with those RF lenses build around Nano USM focus motors. We found subject tracking to be fairly effective, though not to the degree that we'd use it all the time (picking a subject then recomposing). The touchscreen makes it easy to choose your AF point or subject to track, so it's all pretty friendly.
The big news on the RP is that the pupil-detection aspect of the 'Face + Tracking' mode now works in both continuous (Servo) AF mode, as well as single shot. Admittedly, a slight labeling glitch and tiny on-screen icons can make it a little tricky to tell when you've turned it on. Once engaged it finds eyes fairly well and lets you press the left and right directions on the four-way controller to pick which eye the camera should focus on.
아마도 대부분을 할애하여 나중에 리뷰를 올릴 때, EOS R과 EOS RP의 AF 능력의 차이를 검증할 것이다. EOS R의 AF는 나노 US 모터가 채택된 최신형 RF렌즈를 장착했을 경우 상당히 빠른 AF를 보여주었다. 우리는 모든 경우에서 다 테스트해보지는 않았지만 물건을 받고 이제까지 써본 결과 피사체 추적은 상당히 쓸만하다고 보았다. 터치스크린은 AF 포인트를 피사체에 맞추는데 유용했으며 매우 친숙한 기능이다.
EOS RP만의 빅 뉴스라고 할 수 있는 것은, Face+추적 모드에서 사람의 눈동자를 따라가는 모드가 있다는 것이다. (연사 서보 모드 및 싱글 모드에서 다 적용). 이 모드를 적용하면 스크린에 작은 전용 아이콘이 뜨면서 눈동자 추적 모드가 활성화되었다는 것을 알수 있다. 이 모드를 활성화 하면, 피사체의 눈을 꽤 잘 찾았으며, 4방향 조이스틱을 통해 어떤 눈동자를 추적할 지 따로 지정할 수 있다.

9. Focus stacking
The EOS RP gains a focus bracketing function, which is especially useful for close-up and macro photography. This lets you shoot between 1 and 999 images and specify a focus increment that will be applied between each shot. The camera can even conduct exposure smoothing if the light is at all variable between shots.
The images themselves h에이브이e to be merged using Canon's DPP software, where you're given the choice of which regions you want to be kept in sharp focus (including the whole image, if you want).
EOS RP는 포커스 브래킷 기능을 넣어주었다. 이는 특히 접사촬영이나 근접촬영시 매우 도움이 된다. 포커스 브래킷을 통해 최대 999장의 이미지를 포커스의 변화에 따라 연속해서 찍을 수 있다. 또한 연사 중 조명이 변할 경우를 대비해 노출을 보정하는 기능도 제공한다.
이 이미지들은 DPP를 통해 편집해서 합칠 수 있으며 어떤 부분을 골라서 샤프하게 찍혔는지 선택할 수 있다. (전체 이미지도 가능)

10. Video
Video is one of the areas we don't expect the EOS RP to shine. Unlike the EOS 6D Mark II, it can shoot 4K/24p video, though it reverts to contrast detection AF. Thie footage is taken from the central, APS-C/Super 35 region of the sensor, which means the footage will likely be noisier than if it were taken from the whole sensor. The crop will also make it more difficult to find a lens that can offer a wide-angle field of view.
Other than 4K, the camera can shoot 1080 at up to 60p, and can conduct Eye-AF while shooting video. We've not been that struck by the 1080 quality from recent Canons but, if nothing else, the digital IS (which comes at the cost of a crop) is good enough to allow hand-held shooting. As mentioned, you get a mic input and headphone out. This, combined with Dual Pixel AF, ensures the EOS RP should be a solid-enough camera for basic video shooting and maybe a bit of vlogging (though it wouldn't be our first choice).
동영상은 우리가 전혀 기대하지 않는 기능 중에 하나이다. EOS 6D MK2와 달리, EOS RP는 4K 모드시 24P만 지원한다. 게다가 4K에서는 두얼픽셀도 아닌 컨트라스트 AF만 쓸 수 있다. 또한 센서의 중앙만 활용하는 크롭이라서 APS-C혹은 수퍼35 크기의 동영상이 촬영된다. 따라서 동영상 결과물 자체가 센서 전체를 쓴것 보다 노이즈가 더 많다. 크롭 동영상은 렌즈도 가린다. 왜냐하면 광각렌즈를 사용해도 크롭되기 때문에 광각의 효과가 나지 않는다.
4K는 넘기고, FHD 동영상을 보자면 1080 60P를 지원하고 눈동자 추적 AF도 쓸 수 있다. 최근 캐논 카메라의 FHD 동영상이 뒤쳐진다고 느끼지는 않지만, 손떨림 방지가 디지털 방식이라서 IS를 켜면 손에 들고 촬영시 보정은 잘 되지만 또 크롭이 된다. 이미 언급한 바 있지만, 헤드폰 및 마이크로폰 단자가 있다. FHD 동영상은 두얼 픽셀 AF도 지원하기 때문에 초보단계의 동영상이나 블로거들의 촬영에는 충분한 카메라이다. (그럼에도 불구하고 우리는 딱히 쓰고싶지는 않다)
11. Lenses
Perhaps the main limitation for the EOS RP is its introduction into such a new system. It pairs quite nicely with the RF 24-105mm F4L IS zoom, creating a large-ish combination but one that covers a really useful zoom range. The only problem is that the 'L' designation ends up denoting a lens that's almost as expensive as the RP itself.
The RF 35mm F1.8 is a comparatively good match, with its small size and $500 price tag, but beyond that, the current RF lens lineup (and much of that just revealed) end up being rather large or pro-orientated for a $1300 camera body. Though, frankly, the compact size of the 70-200mm F2.8 makes it pretty tempting, whatever you choose to mount it on, almost irrespective of how much Canon chooses to charge for it.
It's presumably this dearth of affordable lenses that has prompted Canon to bundle the EOS RP with the more affordable EF 24-105mm F3.5-5.6 IS STM. The affordability is somewhat undermined by the need to include an adapter in the bundle, but this may increase its appeal for those users planning to use other Canon DSLR lenses.
It'll be interesting to see how Canon prices its forthcoming 24-240mm tr에이브이el lens [Pictured in mock-up form]. Mounted on the EOS RP it'll make a handy do-anything pairing, though unless it's significantly less expensive, we'd be tempted to stick with the 24-105mm F4L, since it works really nicely.
아마도 EOS RP의 주된 한계는 새로 도입되는 시스템이라는 점일 것이다. EOS RP는 RF 24-105mm F4 IS 줌렌즈와는 매우 좋은 궁합을 보여준다. 비록 렌즈가 꽤 크긴 하지만 렌즈 하나로 대부분의 촬영을 할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 그러나 이제 막 도입되는 시스템이다보니 RF 렌즈의 대부분이 값비싼 L렌즈로 나와서, L렌즈의 압박을 피할 수는 없을 것이다.
RF 35mm F1.8은 비교적 크기가 잘 어울린다. 작은 사이즈에 가격도 500달러 정도로써 적당하다... 그러나 현재 RF 렌즈 라인업 (그리고 향후 나온다는 로드맵을 봐도)은 1299달러 카메라에는 좀 과한 값비싼 렌즈들로 가득차있다. 게다가 솔직히 말해서, 70-200mm F2.8렌즈의 사이즈는 매력적이지만, RF렌즈군 대부분이 가격에 있어서 EOS RP의 가격과 상당히 동떨어져 있다는 점은 현실이다.
EOS RP에 어울리는 적당한 가격의 렌즈가 없다는걸 캐논도 알고 있기에 EOS RP의 키트렌즈로 비교적 저렴한 24-105mm F3.5-5.6 STM 렌즈를 추가한 것으로 보인다. 또한 번들로 EF 변환 어댑터를 제공해야 어느정도 가격적으로 부담이 덜어지겠지만, 이는 반대로 말하자면 RF 유저가 EF 렌즈군에 묶이게 된다는 아이러니가 발생한다.
캐논이 향후 출시한다는 24-240mm 여행용 렌즈가 얼마에 나올지가 관심을 끈다. 24-240mm 렌즈는 비록 아주 값싸게 나오지 않는다고 하더라도 EOS RP에 매우 잘 어울리는 렌즈가 될 것으로 보인다. 현재까지 써본 결과 우리는 24-105mm F4L렌즈가 매우 마음에 든다.
12. Conclusion
The Canon RP is based around a sensor we weren't that impressed by, and we're expecting plenty of 'no IS, no purchase' comments below our coverage, but we think it gets quite a lot right.
It's less ambitious than the EOS R but by combining twin command dials with the excellent Feature Assist interface and a really keen price tag, it ends up looking rather charming.
There are lots of specs that enthusiasts will turn their noses up at ("2.5fps shooting in 'Tracking Priority,' LOL"), but there's also a lot the EOS RP gets right. Not least the images it produces.
캐논의 신제품 EOS RP는 센서 그 자체로는 우리에게 아무런 감흥을 주지는 못했고, 아마도 많은 유저들이 "바디 손떨방 없으면 안사!"라고 할 것이라 예상하지만, 우리는 EOS RP 자체가 큰 시장성이 있다고 본다.
EOS R에 비해 매우 보수적이고 무난한 스펙으로 나왔지만, 두개의 다이얼이 존재하고, 훌륭한 피쳐 어시스트 인터페이스도 있으며 가격 자체가 좋다. 매력적이지는 않지만 고려해볼만한 카메라이다.
스펙 자체만 보면 숙련된 사용자가 보기에 코웃음 칠만하지만 (추적모드에서 초당 2.5장 연사속도 등) EOS RP는 스펙이 아니라 다른 강점을 보여준다. 이미지 퀄리티 자체는 캐논의 그것이다.
