Dear US PRESIDENT, Dear Minister of National Defense of US Dear Sirs/ Madam,  My name is Miss Heo. I am a representative of the family members of the missing crew and the sister of one of the crew members of the ill fated MV Stellar Daisy, which looks to h에이브이e sunk in the Atlantic 1,500 miles off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in tragic circumstances.  On behalf of the families of the missing crew, we would like to thank you in your efforts in the search operations for our beloved family members. We h에이브이e been reading reports and seeing the pictures regarding of your great rescue operations by DVIDS. May we extend our upmost gratitude for your outstanding efforts in these difficult and tragic circumstances.  Although some time has passed we h에이브이e not given up hope, and we understand that there is still hope, as you will be aware there is still a liferaft unaccounted for, with provisions for survival, and the persons on the liferaft are seafarers, who can survive.   Therefore it is with you as our last hope that we write, and kindly request your continued support, may we request the pictures from the 8th of April 2017 at 19:15 UTC, when we understand that the US N에이브이y aircraft found a yellow-orange colored raft and oil around on the water, within the search area.   It was at this time that a local commercial vessel was asked to look in this area, but by the time the vessel had arrived, even after 5 hours(the 9th of April 2017 at 00:11 UTC) passed, it was unable to find anything, except oil slick on the water. We believe the US N에이브이y aircraft found a liferaft, because the MRCC Uruguay announced that the liferaft had been spotted.  Now, with the fact that the liferaft may still be out there, the shipping company, Polaris shipping Co.Ltd., and supporting search parties are pulling back the search when there is still hope.  As a representative of the family members of the missing crew, I would like to plead with you to send us the pictures of what was sighted on the 8th of April 2017 at 19:15 UTC in the search area. Although we h에이브이e tried multiple times to verify the pictures with the South Korean government we h에이브이e had no substantiated reply. Since the photographs were not taken by our government they are refusing to deal with our requests.  We understand that it is strictly prohibited to share military photographs; however we only want to confirm whether the liferaft has been spotted or not, to appease the families of the missing crew members.  As you may be aware, in South Korea at the moment, there will soon be an election for president. While furthermore, South Korea is under continuous threat from North Korea. This means the media is reporting on these issues, and the fate of the Stellar Daisy crew is being forgotten, please don’t forget us, please help us with the pictures of the liferaft so we can continue to lobby for an exhaustive search.  With the utmost thanks and admiration, fair winds and following seas.  Miss Heo and the families of the MV Stellar Daisy
 미합중국 대통령 귀하 / 미합중국 국방부 장관 귀하 / 미합중국 해군 담당자 귀하  저는 브라질 리오데자네이루에서 2,500km 떨어진 대서양에서 비극적으로 침몰한 것으로 보이는 스텔라 데이지호의 선원의 누나이자 실종선원 가족 대표입니다.   저희는 사랑하는 가족을 찾기 위한 미국의 초계기 수색 협조에 진심으로 감사드립니다. 저희는 사진과 보고서를 통해서 DVIDS의 구조작업이 얼마나 훌륭한지 익히 알고 있습니다. 다시 한번 이 힘들고 불운한 상황을 해결하기 위한 미국의 탁월한 노력에 감사드립니다.  시간이 지났음에도 저희는 희망을 놓지 않고 있습니다. 여전히 찾지 못한 구명뗏목이 있으며, 그 구명뗏목에는  낚시도구를 비롯한 생존장비가 구비되어 있고, 수색현지에는 그간 비가 종종 내렸습니다. 실종자들은 단순한 일반인이 아니라 훈련된 선원이기에 생존 가능성이 있습니다.  그러므로 저희의 마지막 희망을 요청드립니다. 고맙게도 미국이 지속적인 지원을 아끼지 않았기에 2017년 4월 8일 19:15 UTC에 미국 P-8 초계기가 수색지역에서 구명뗏목 추정물체를 찾을 수 있었습니다. 우리는 그때 미 초계기가 언급했던 ‘노랑-오렌지색의 구명뗏목과 기름띠’ 사진을 받아볼 수 있기를 바랍니다.   미 초계기가 구명뗏목 추정물체를 찾았다고 했을 때, 그 근처에 있던 수색선박이 그 장소로 이동하였으나, 5시간 후(2017년 4월 9일 00:11 UTC)에야 현장에 도착할 수 있었고, 그때는 이미 너무 어두워진 뒤였기에 수색을 제대로 할 수 없었습니다. 그리고 다음날부터 이틀간 기상 악화로 인해 수색을 못하였습니다. 결국 며칠이 지난 후 수색선박은 기름띠 이외에 아무 것도 찾을 수 없었습니다. 그러나 저희는 우루과이 MRCC의 상황보고서에 ‘미 초계기가 구명뗏목을 찾았다’는 문구가 있는 만큼, 처음에 찾았던 그 물체가 구명뗏목이 맞으리라고 믿고 있습니다.  현재 발견되지 않은 구명뗏목이 대서양에 표류하고 있음에도 불구하고, 선사인 폴라리스 쉬핑과 구조팀은 수색을  중단하려 하고 있습니다.  실종선원 가족대표로서 저는 2017년 4월 8일 19:15 UTC 미초계기가 실종지역에서 찾은 ‘노랑-오렌지색의 구명뗏목과 기름띠’ 사진을 저희에게 보내주시기를 간청합니다. 저희가 사진을 받아서 확인할 수 있게 해달라고 수차례 대한민국정부에 부탁했음에도 불구하고,  저희는 대답을 듣지 못하고 있습니다.   원칙적으로 국방부 소유의 사진이 민간에게 공개되기 어렵다는 것은 알고 있습니다. 그러나 저희는 단지 구명뗏목이 실제 발견되었는지 여부를 확인하고 싶은 것입니다.   대한민국은 지금 대통령 선거를 얼마 남겨두지 않고 있습니다. 게다가 북한으로부터 지속적인 위협을 받고  있습니다. 모든 언론과 국민의 관심이 대선과 북핵 위기에 쏠려 있다보니 스텔라데이지호의 선원들은 조용히 잊혀져 가고 있습니다.  제발 저희를 기억해 주세요! 제발 저희에게 구명뗏목 사진을 보내주셔서 철저한 수색을 지속할 수 있도록 도와주세요!  감사합니다.  스텔라데이지호 선원 가족 일동
